The PSOE prompted the launch of an information campaign urgently to remove 'ground provisions' abusive (27/05/2013)

The mayor Andrea Garries defend this motion because it considers that the residents affected by this type of clause in their mortgage contracts may also have a legal service through municipal offices consumer information

The Socialist Party councilor Andrea Garries asked in Parliament on Thursday the local government to be put in place urgently an information campaign for the residents of Murcia know judgments are canceling the 'ground provisions' abusive (minimum rate of interest payable on each share) positioned between 3% and 3.5%

In this regard, remember Garries Court of Justice, the Supreme Court and various Provincial courts are lifting such clauses to be considered, as the main argument, misinformation which underwent customers who hired them occasionally even without that they were aware of its existence in mortgage contracts, most of which were signed between 2004 and 2010.

These clauses-regrets Garries-is hurting many families Murcia, many of which are in an extreme situation because they can not make ends meet and have little purchasing power to maintain consumption, also making it impractical recovery of the local economy.

Experts on the subject estimate that if the maximum rate of the 'ground provisions' be placed at around 1.5%, every citizen would see decreased by 600 per year your mortgage.

Similarly, the socialist mayor asked in plenary to reinforce the municipal offices of consumer information with a legal service through which you can review the mortgages signed by the residents affected by these terms and facilitate the commencement of legal proceedings.

Finally, Garries also ask that the City firm specific agreements of collaboration with consumer organizations that have a demonstrable travel in this area, such as Adicae, Consumur, Ausbanc, among others.
