During the event has opened a photo exhibition-Cuban Hispanic students UCAM and the University of East

The UCAM Murcia Catholic University today held a day dedicated to Cuba, a country with which the University has "close ties", as stated by the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza.

The events held on the occasion of this day have been attended by Minister Counsellor, Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Spain, Susana Sardiña Esther Lopez, accompanied by the Vice Chancellor of University Extension of the UCAM, Antonio Alcaraz.

During the celebration of Day of Cuba ', José Luis Mendoza stressed UCAM linking the Cuban nation, "which is twinned through the University of Havana."

In this institution, the UCAM "takes a while imparting education in the field of Business Administration, Anthropology, Social and Volunteer Development and now will also collaborate on issues of Communication".

Meanwhile, Susana Esther Sardiña, said that during his visit to the UCAM has been proved "the reach of all major collaborations between the two universities."

In the context of this conference, Professor Armando Rangel Rivero, Director of Montane Anthropological Museum of the University of Havana has presented his book "Anthropology in Cuba. Origins and development."

The book summarizes twenty years of research on the Cuban anthropological endeavor and its relationship with other European nations, American and Asian.

Following the presentation of the book, we proceeded to award students photo contest winners 'Cuba and Spain, land sisters', jointly organized by UCAM and the University of Oriente (Santiago de Cuba).

Finally, Susana Esther Sardiña and the rector of the UCAM, Josefina Lozano, inaugurated, in the cloister of the University, a photographic exhibition showing Spanish-Cuban works made by students of the UCAM and the University of East on landscapes , environment and customs of Cuba and Spain, organized by Felix Galindo, professor at the School of Communication at the UCAM, among others.
