The loss of creativity of people unemployed as increases so does the duration of unemployment, according to the findings of the study conducted by professors at the University of Murcia Tomás López Izquierdo Rus and Olivia Martinez.
This research, which was published in the journal Annals of Psychology, published by the University of Murcia in conjunction with the College of Psychologists, indicates that the unemployed have a staff wear situation "that need to be addressed with specific intervention methodologies ".
It also indicates that the impact on the loss of creativity is seen in the unemployed, regardless of the age groups, not to appreciate significant differences in either gender.
"The creativity, rather than an intellectual merit or ability, it is an attitude towards life, a social and personal well-admired and feared at the same time," say the authors.
They add that "when we talk about creativity, not just talking in terms of productivity and invention, but also physical health as it can help us a lot in our old age, encourages creative expression positive feelings, which encourage an optimistic outlook and a sense of well being. "
"We can say-conclude-it is a way of being, thinking and feeling that helps us to work in a different way that maximizes the chances of producing innovative ideas and appropriate in any context of human activity."
To carry out the work, the professors of the University of Murcia analyzed a sample of 140 individuals enrolled in the Andalusian Employment Service, divided into four groups according to the time taken unemployed.
The average age of participants was 36 years and the group distribution was formed by 103 women and 37 men.
