The UCAM participating for the third time in the Shell Eco Marathon, a leading exclusive, worldwide competition that challenges students to design, build and drive the car more energy efficient.
The test involves performing travel the path established minimum energy consumption.
It will take place this weekend in Rotterdam, Holland, which will bring together teams from around the world.
This year the UCAM Racing Team competes with the prototype 'Sun Rider' by a group of students and Telecommunications Systems Engineering, and led by the Team Manger and Dean of the Faculty, Rafael Melendreras, and the teacher in charge and test pilot , Rafael Berenguer.
The 'Sun Rider' compete in the category electric solar panel.
Last year competed in the category Solar obtaining a creditable fifth position.
UCAM team has had this year with the support and collaboration of the following companies: Banco Santander, Pastry Gimar, Tube Murcia, Comarth, CTMETAL, NZI Helmets, Eurener Sport Bike K2, Lumen Electrical, Industrial Berbetores, FFG, and Iberia Vitae.
