"A bridge between people who need help and those who are willing to give it" well defined Victor Meseguer, a researcher at the Chair of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the University of Murcia, social action platform that promotes this Chair and which was presented yesterday at the headquarters of the Rector of the educational institution.
The initiative is to help any interested party (government, company or individual) can give to charity projects to be sent to the website http://www.laplataformasocial.org Platform
"It is a public-private partnership with an innovative format, said Meseguer, communicating vessels, as any administration, business, NGO or citizen can be both donor and recipient."
The aid, which can be donations from individuals, businesses surpluses, sponsorships, corporate and civic volunteer, etc. - Depend on the needs of the projects it selects the Chair.
"We all have to take care of the crisis situation and with this initiative, the Department RSC shows its commitment to the region, with citizens and those most in need" clinched Meseguer.
The presentation was chaired by the Vice President for Student and Employment, Maribel Sanchez-Mora, and the director of the Chair, Longinus Marin, who influenced his words that the platform is another form of social policy.
The university leaders were clothed by businessman Thomas Strong (Strong Group Chairman) and other representatives of other sponsoring companies and organizations: Hero Spain, Agromediterránea, Cajamurcia Foundation, Aguas de Murcia, Diagram Foundation, CEPAIM, City of Molina de Segura and Ministry of Education, Training and Employment.
