Children's shows from Asia, America and Africa make up the cycle "Three Cultures in Children" (06/05/2013)

The series 'Three Cultures of Children' premieres this year new scenario: the Cultural Hall of the Caja Mediterráneo, which will host three performances aimed at smaller and for families to enjoy.

This activity is included in the programming of the XIV International Festival of Tolerance Murcia Three Cultures, organized by the city of Murcia.

In its quest to bring the spirit of tolerance and coexistence to all sectors of the population, Murcia Three Cultures Festival has prepared this cycle thinking in children, which in this edition has the support of the Caja Mediterráneo.

A varied program for younger children, accompanied by their elders, enjoy not only as spectators, but as protagonists of this festival, which is continuously adapting to new needs and cultural tastes.

In language as universal as is the music, know the customs and history of other countries.

Three shows from three continents-Asia, America and Africa, which, through stories, legends and anecdotes provide insight into other cultures so different from ours and yet so close.

The cycle will start on Thursday, May 23, at 18 pm, with the concert titled Colors, a musical journey that goes from India to Spain, across Europe, and in which the well-known Lebanese violinist Ara Malikian and his ensemble deepen its roots, absorbing at par the music of other cultures, such as the Middle East, Central Europe, Argentina and Spain.

The second date, on Friday May 24, at 18 am, will Tales of Africa, a theatrical-musical in which the troubadour Senegalese griot Lamine Mbengue legends carrier is expressed through the storytelling, theater and singing, immersing viewers in the imaginary African tale, in its symbols and magic.

The group Praça Onze close the cycle on Saturday May 25, also at 18 am, with another musical and theatrical installation, Berta's trip, which discloses the history of Brazilian music, different cultures living in the country and the main instruments used in the performance of such music.
