Bus lines cater to the needs of Murcia (03/05/2013)

Neighborhood associations and consumers involved in the design of the new map of Transport of Murcia.

The government team is committed to improving public transport and meet the demands neighborhood so that it perfectly suits the needs of Murcia.

The Councillor for Traffic and Transport, Javier Iniesta, met this morning with the presidents of the eight District Boards town to explain in detail the modification of the 'Managing the public transport service by bus owned urban lines city ​​in the form of concessions'.

The aim of this reordering of the urban lines operated by Transportes de Murcia is to respond to the public interest, optimize the resources available to adjust the supply of services and reduce or eliminate the inefficiencies of multiple expeditions with small number of travelers.

It also seeks to improve the opportunities for mobility in public transport and solve the social demands of this service provision centers and residential activity.

Broadly speaking we have tried to serve new areas of attraction, as the City of Justice or the new municipal center Abenarabi, strengthen the service in neighborhoods that are demanded as Vistabella and extend the lines that pass through the Gran Vía .

This modification of the lines has been developed following requests from different groups in order to adapt to the demands neighborhood and create an urban transportation system born of consensus.

Thus, it has had the participation of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations, consumer associations and Thader UCE, municipal boards and various neighborhood associations as the Young Future or the district of the Fleet.

Rearranging lines is as follows:

- Certain shipments Circular Line C1 and C2 in schedule of 7-16 hours during weekdays will pass through the City of Justice, under the name of C3 and C4 to be easily distinguishable by citizens.

- The Lightning 14 will last up to Young Future.

In this way serves a demand for more than 2,000 residents of this urbanization leading almost five years demanding public transport.

Also this Ray is amended to tour both the Gran Via street as the old post office.

- The Lightning 17 suffer three variations.

Lieutenant Avenue will pass and Glorieta Flomesta rather than Segura River Avenue.

Enter at Constitution Avenue Plaza Circular by instead of by Alfonso X.

And in Carmen neighborhood tour Romo Tower Avenue, which has the largest road capacity to attract travelers.

- The Lightning 20 is changed substantially since it is the line with fewer travelers.

This line, which connected the Watchtowers area with Santa Maria de Gracia, now go further by Gran Vía, Vistabella, Queen Sofia and Spanish Marina Avenue.

- It creates a new line, the C5 Abenarabi linking, Juan Carlos I, Plaza Circular, Constitution Avenue, Gran Vía, Barrio del Carmen and train station.

This line is provisional until resolved tram connection between Circular and Square train station, at which time will be required another rearrangement of lines.

These changes come into effect, as planned, on 18 May.

All these changes in the urban public transport map are the result of requests neighborhood and have been studied in various meetings of the Transport Quality Council.

The restructuring proposal involves the increase of the fleet vehicle, a driver and 12 signposts, throwing all due to increased costs of 69204.12 euros to September 2022.

This increase in cost will be borne entirely by the dealer.
