IU-Green presented an amendment to the Ordinance whole prostitution (30/04/2013)

All amendments to the spokesman described the IU-Greens in the city of Murcia, Esther Herguedas, allegations that his group has submitted to the ordinance on prostitution which has developed the Security Department of the consistory.

The argument is based on both political and legal reasons.

Herguedas has held that an ordinance is not the instrument to solve the problem of prostitution.

"You're have served these ordinances in other cities where not only street prostitution has disappeared, but has encouraged the emergence of large brothels where women are most vulnerable and easily fall in networks of trafficking and sexual exploitation" .

The IU-Greens spokesperson has insisted that an ordinance no longer a way to regulate prostitution but the but fashion, because it favors the owners of the strip clubs and harms women.

Herguedas noted the contradiction expressed in the very ordinance which penalizes women in prostitution as victims previously considered.

He has also denounced as misleading typing "mild" for behaviors associated with prostitutes, and how "serious" to associates and clients that also penalize the repetition in behavior such as severe or very severe "normal is that these sanctions are borne by women, because of their greater visibility. "

He has also criticized the only thing offered to prostituted women are "measures for their rehabilitation and re-socialization" that recall the Vagrancy Act of Franco, when posed educate women of immoral conduct and teach Christian doctrine.

He recalled that street prostitution which is addressed in this ordinance underlying social problems associated with poverty, unemployment and exclusion and women we spoke to do not require re-educate, but to work to feed their children.

He noted that there are legal arguments against regulation established by this ordinance, as there are sentences that come to ratify that the city lacks sufficient powers to discipline title prostitution.

The mayor stressed the coherence of the group expressed both in print and in full and to the neighbors "IU-Greens has always rejecting consideration of prostitution as a problem for public order" so the group instead of an ordinance asked in social activities in the Barrio del Carmen.

In this regard, he criticized the group's performance of the city of Murcia UPyD which he described as "Captain Spider" because after mobilizing the residents of El Carmen and ask for an ordinance in plenary of Murcia, criticism because it guarantees the rights of women.

"Is that when asked, did not know was an ordinance?" Herguedas wondered, while criticized "political whims of an organization that will please all only demonstrates their lack of consistency."
