The Mayor attends the opening of the multi-sensory stimulation room Astrapace (26/04/2013)

People with disabilities, especially if it is serious effects that affect their mobility, as of today have a multi-sensory stimulation room created in the center of Astrapace.

The opening ceremony was attended by the president of the association, Rosa Garcia Iniesta, the Mayor, Miguel Angel House, as well as Councilwoman Maria del Carmen Pelegrin, Head of Health and Social Welfare.

The facility, located on Barn Lane Street, can provide stimulation therapy through the senses of benefiting both users as early care day center, especially 50 people with serious effects and multiple disabilities.

Astrapace has invested nearly 35,000 euros in creating this room, equipped with balls of light, water bed, utensils for aromatherapy, etc..

With these sessions, in which the protagonists are the senses and, through them, the feelings and emotions they arouse, experimentation is encouraged, recreational enjoyment, relationship, communication and integration.

The Mayor noted the importance of providing all kinds of Murcia services of a geriatric because "a city that is integral cares about providing the best care to those most in need and, in this case, the disabled who receive care through the great work done Astrapace ".

To help fulfill it and co some of their projects, the City has agreements annually.

The two signed in 2012 went to the development of two specific programs: the leisure club and a business plan for reconciling work and family life.
