On 23 April is a symbolic date for world literature as it marks the death of Cervantes, Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, in 1616.

The date also coincides with the birth or death of other prominent authors such as Maurice Druon, Haldor K.Laxness, Vladimir Nabokov, Josep Pla and Manuel Mejía Vallejo.

UNESCO decided in 1995 to pay tribute to universal books and authors on this date, encouraging reading pleasure.

The planned activities are:

- Library 'Pelagius Ferrer El Palmar (with the collaboration of the Municipal Board of El Palmar)

- Rake adult books (April 23, at 9:30 pm.)

- Mariano Storytelling Cegarra (April 23, at 18:00 h.)

- Drawing of two batches of children's books among users who have availed the loan facility from April 15 (April 30, at 13 h.)

- Library of La Alberca (with the collaboration of the Municipal Council of La Alberca)

- Storytelling with juanolo (April 23, at 18:00 h.)

- Concerto for Flute and Piano by MusicalBerk Association (Error! Bookmark not defined.) In the lobby of the library (April 23, at 19:00 h.)

- Library El Carmen

- Visiting the Library concerted schools (April 23)

- Library San Basilio (with the collaboration of the North Municipal Board)

- Rake books (April 23, for 10-13 h.)

- Storytelling with Mariano Martínez (April 23, at 18:00 h.)

- Draw of lots of books among users who have availed the loan facility from April 22 (April 30, at 13 h.)

- Library James the Greater (with the collaboration of the Municipal of Santiago el Mayor)

- Corner Theme: 'José Luis Sampedro: a lucid' (12 to 30 April)

- '100 Reading guide books to be read before you die '(22 to 26 April)

- Storytelling for children aged 3-6 years with Nora Pellicer (April 22, at 18:00 h.)

- Visit the library concerted Infant School Our Lady of Fuensanta (April 23)

- Storytelling for children aged 7-9 years with Nora Pellicer (April 23, at 18:00 h.)

- Rake of books (from 22 to 26 April)

- Children film screening (April 26, 11:00 am.)

- Library Bacons Bridge

- Rake books (April 23, for 10-13 h.)

- Gift of the book to the users who use the loan service (April 23)

- Library Espinardo

Activity Celebrate 'A Night of Tales', organized by the Cultural and Social Center Espinardo.

Participants will read stories, tales and stories are already popular, free author or creation.

Interventions may be both individual and collective, individually or representing groups, associations, organizations and institutions (From 19.00 h.)
