The Regional Film will be the headquarters of the II European Fantastic Film Festival of Murcia (18/04/2013)

The Second European Fantastic Film Festival of Murcia C-FEM surprised to town for five days with fun activities, lectures and film science fiction, horror and fantasy.

From 13 to 17 May, Murcia will become the European capital of horror, science fiction and fantasy through lectures, films, lectures and a screening of the shorts selected by the National Short Film Competition C-FEM.

The Festival will be held at the Regional Film main Francisco Rabal, where from Monday 13 May to Friday 17 May, will live the fear and fantasy through different camera film directors, series and documentaries international stature.

In addition, C-FEM also offers talks with directors like Hector Ruiz, and conferences with speakers from the likes of Miguel Angel Hernandez Navarro, Professor of Contemporary Art History at the University of Murcia, writer and art critic.

Among the films screening highlights the classic films of the silent horror as 'La chute de la maison Usher' or 'Nosferatu', which will feature live music and specially created for the occasion, or 'What we said the voices', the first feature documentary received is real EVP four cases occurred in the Region of Murcia.

National Short Film Competition C-FEM

The National Short Film Competition C-FEM has, in this edition, with a Grand Prize of 1,200 euros, sponsored by the city of Murcia, the Jury Prize of 500 euros and sponsoring the Regional Film and the Audience Award of 250 euros, which was made possible thanks to the collaboration of Estrella de Levante, which focuses on the creation and art focused people.

Moreover, it has built an Award for Best Short Murciano, provided $ 500, which sponsors the newspaper 'The Truth'.

Also noteworthy is the projection of a short sample of Murcia which will take place on Thursday, May 16 in Room A of the Film.

The selected films will be shown at the FNAC Regional Film and throughout the Festival.

The awards ceremony will be Friday, May 17 at 20.15 in the Film, and will be attended by representatives of Murcia culture, as well as delegates from sponsoring companies and institutions.

C-FEM was first held in December 2011 and began as a meeting of European fantasy film, programming focusing exclusively on the works in the old continent, and in order to grow the cultural and cinematic of the Region of Murcia.

Since then, the Festival has come a long way and, this year, mainly sponsored by Estrella de Levante, but it also has the support of the Ministry of Culture, the city of Murcia, and the newspaper 'The Truth', is presented as an event with personality closely linked to the promotion and dissemination of quality works.

Tickets can be purchased in ticketea.com and from April 13, at the ticket office of the Regional Film.

Those interested can seize a subscription, or attend independently, projections of films for 4 euros each.

The projections of the shorts will be totally free, and some of the lectures and conferences, and the opening party.

The closing party, with the participation Vinila Von Bismark, Zolloville, Moonwolf Pharaon's Twist and Dj.
