Downtown River Mills initiative starts today "Huerta Bizarra" (15/04/2013)

The Museo de los Molinos Rio de Murcia will be the scene of a series of presentations about the initiatives of Murcia, holding Huerta Bizarro.

Bizarre Huerta is a collective of designers interested in creating the instruments with which to operate in the context of the garden of Murcia for environmental, economic and urban development.

Their approaches are based on the consideration of the traditional of Murcia as a productive landscape in increasing abandonment by the low competitiveness of its production and damaged by the impact of urban pressure, both from within (core) and the outside (crown districts ), which urgently needs the flourishing of alternative business use and able to encourage farming, leisure and tourism in this space with friendly services to conservation and improvement of its tangible and intangible, and the intensification of its natural potential and structuring the metropolitan area.

In this event, Huerta Bizarra proposes the creation of a sequence of presentations, actions on the landscape and meeting and discussion sessions open to the public, according to the following schedule of activities:

PROGRAM

Monday April 15/19 hours

• Presentation by Antonio Abellán Alarcón, Huerta project findings TISSPAS scalable, developed in 2009 and 2010 under the direction of Antonio Abellán and Izaskun Chinchilla.

• Presentation by Jose Carrasco Hortal 24 hours Huertano Relax, an event in which 25 architecture students designed, fabricated and operated the equipment necessary to meet a couple of guests who, for 24 hours, was installed in a abandoned plot of the garden of Murcia, exploiting the natural and cultural conditions of the environment.

• Presentation by Javier Lopez Dodge, the Thesis The
