The Murcia Three Cultures Festival presents this year a total of 40 performances of music and dance May 13 to 25 (18/03/2013)

The presentation of the new album by the singer and actress Maria de Medeiros open the series "Concert for Tolerance" France is the guest on this edition, which includes nine concerts with French accent musicians from India, Syria and Bulgaria configured Entredanzas cycle

During the month of May and during two intense weeks, from 13 to 25, the International Festival Murcia Three Cultures become more prominent public spaces in the city center of the fourteenth edition.

This new edition will offer a total of 40 performances of music and dance, which will begin with a performance at the Cycle "Toleracia Concert by" the singer and actress Maria de Medeiros on Thursday May 16, at 21 am, Teatro Circo in Murcia.

Medeiros will present their third album and his first work as a composer: the multilingual Birds eternal, where you ride through different styles.

The opening concert will also feature two performances featuring singers from Morocco and Italy, but settled in France for years.

Sophia Charaï sing-Moroccan Arabic and French, the themes of his latest work, Pichu, which reveals the charms of music and explores convergences world sounds moving through the contours of globalization.

Sara French Quintette close the cycle with Napo-bolero to Paris, a jazz manouche.

One of the most important sections of the premieres is the Festival's classical section and presented the musical works and performances created or prepared especially for the occasion.

The group will perform a program Suspiratio full of expressivity and Italian poetry titled Il Lamento d'Arianna.

The second release is in the hands of Vocal Igne and his work entitled Iberia.

Among the actions of Spanish artists with musicians and dancers from other countries can be seen in the company of Curro Piñana Syrian Waed Bouhssoua singer, who will offer a concert entitled The pain and passion.

The creative spirit of Spain and Israel join the show in May Water, in which the original group uses three instruments Tahadi to explain the process of creating a flower.

The sounds of the Three Cultures come together in the repertoire of a group of members from Germany, Spain and Morocco and inspired by Central European cultures, Sephardic and Moorish Al-Andalus Project.

Entredanzas

Musicians from India, Syria and Bulgaria share the stage with dance artists from Spain, travel to these places to know their way of dancing.

This cultural trip 'round' culminates with original dance that make Entredanzas cycle.

The series, which was first held in the Municipal Center Castilla doors, start with the Hindu Mohiniyattam dance, Lasya and elf.

The Syrian-Spanish group Ensemble Moresca continue the cycle with Essence of Al-Andalus.

Ciganski-Kiucher Group-formed by Spanish and Bulgarian-present this show of Gypsy dances from the Balkans and Central Europe.

Other countries in Europe will have a presence at this year.

Since Bulgaria and Russia reach Mayna members Klezmer, which will offer two concerts: one of Balkan music and another entitled fantazi Taksim, which is inspired by the music.

Italy will be represented by one of the historical groups of popular music: Acquaragia Drom.

From across the Atlantic, particularly from Argentina, come Caronni Sisters, twins with ascending candombe, milonga and classical music.

Present for voices is the title of the concert will offer the Brazilian Trio Yara Beilinson.

Rosa Sanchez Trio a selection of the many things that make up the song and traditional music of Mexico.

The music of Africa also have their place in the program, in which artists from Morocco, Senegal and Somalia participate in multicultural groups with members from other countries.

Cameroon singer Karayce Fotso offer, at the concert titled Kwegne, folk-soul melodies imbued with great emotion.

Closing show

The Orchestre National de Barbes close the Festival with the show Rendez-vous Barbes, which will take place on Saturday, May 25, at 22 am, at the Plaza Belluga.

The name of this formation comes from the Parisian district in which its members-of Algerian and Moroccan roots-lived when joined to make music.

Feast of the Three Cultures

Consolidated as the big date with tolerance and miscegenation, the Feast of the Three Cultures with the participation of numerous musicians, singers and dancers from many different countries and cultures who occupy the squares and streets of the city of Murcia from 19 pm on Friday, 24 to 24 am on Saturday May 25.

In this massive party at the prevailing coexistence of different styles of music and traditions, and artists will participate the following groups: feten feten, Gema 4, Shine Gospel, Alaev Family, Bino Barros, Mayna Klezmer, Yara Beilinson Trio, Fakir Testa & Banyari, Rosa Sanchez Trio, Praça Onze, Yom, Al-Andalus Project, Karayce Fotso, Acquaragia Drom and Orchestre National de Barbes.

Film, art, seminars, conferences and theater

Besides music and dance, Murcia Three Cultures Festival includes several proposals already converted in the spring essential meeting Murcia: the film series held at the Civic Center doors and exposure Castilla City Museum.

This section also contains the cycle of conferences Night of the Three Cultures and a series of conferences organized in collaboration with the University of Murcia.

In addition, the Festival will host this year a world premiere of a play, which will be staged at the Teatro Romea.
