The Socialist Group mayor defends Andrea Garries in plenary next week an initiative, the result of collective consensus and neighborhood associations in the municipality, with the basic objective passes through conducting a series of amendments to Regulation Citizen Participation through a committee established for this purpose in which they are present all political groups that form the Corporation and representatives of various associations and neighborhood associations.
These consensus proposals are part of the initiative launched by the Socialist Group "HacerMurciaCON" and stem from the various meetings of the PSOE councilors have had with various groups and neighborhood associations in the municipality to achieve true democracy.
A highlights package of reforms-Garries-aimed at restoring the credibility and confidence of the public without delay.
This will propose to adopt a series of measures, among which is that associations, platforms and other groups to participate in the Plenary Hall of Murcia intervening in those items that concern them directly.
Another measure that will propose changing the socialist mayor is holding the town meetings in the afternoon to facilitate assistance to neighbors and plenary sessions may be broadcast over the Internet and recordings are posted on the web municipal.
Finally, Garries asked to reduce the number of signatures for citizens to submit a popular initiative.
Currently it takes about 45,000 signatures, an excessive amount that, in practice, prevents such initiatives can reach plenary popular, as has happened so far.
