The City Council renewed its commitment to the bands and ensembles of Murcia (03/03/2013)

Murcia City Council, through the Department of Culture, directed by Rafael Gomez, will renovate two separate collaboration agreements with four musical groups in the municipality of Murcia in order to encourage and promote music lessons and help them be able to play cultural activities, always linked to the cultural heritage of our town.

The Governing Board recently approved the four cooperation agreements with the Bands of Beniaján, Guadalupe, Bacons Bridge and the Youth Musical Group Cabezo de Torres.

The age of the students of this school is six years old and up, with a total enrollment of 120 students.

The musical group of Beniaján also receive significant support from the city of Murcia.

This grouping is noteworthy that born in 1979, continuing a musical tradition dating back to the last century.

Its goals emphasize the promotion of music in your area and across the region, encourage youth musical vocation, promoting a good career guidance within the music world, perfect artistic preparation of its components and attempt to develop the work creation of its young performers.

For the development of its activities, the Group has Beniaján Municipal Auditorium.

The School of Music Cabezo de Torres started his career in 1982, going on since 1700 about pupils for their classrooms.

Although his musical studies at the School of Music are not recognized at the ministerial level, for more and better coordination is the idea of ​​the general curriculum, teaching music lessons following the Elementary Level Programming of the Conservatory of Music of Murcia.

To impart all his teachings the school has teachers with appropriate qualifications, specialists in the various instruments and musical language teaching, choral ensemble, Chamber Music, Chamber Orchestra and Band.

The Bacons Bridge Music Association turns on the School of Music in October 1998, being the specialty of it Plectrum Instruments, offering a lesson in the same individual and collective.

Place of performance is the Cultural Center of Bacons Bridge, spanning from October to June, coinciding with the school year.

Music studies undertaken in this school do not lead to valid academic qualifications or professional, but its purpose is to provide practical training in music, with an emphasis on specialty plectrum instruments.

Teaching begins at 5 years and there is no age limit.

Musician Cultural Association "The Muses" of Guadalupe, which have been operating since 1984, thanks to the residents of Guadalupe and surrounding villages: La Ă‘ora, Javalí Viejo, Beniscornia Corner, The Albatalía, Espinardo and Murcia.

The age of the students of this school is six years old and up, with a total enrollment of 120 students.

The School of Music has teachers with degrees and higher, they have done and continue to conduct courses in their respective instruments.

Of these teachers, two target groups Children and Youth.
