The Socialist Party councilors demand more support for businesses in the Barrio del Carmen (02/03/2013)

The Socialist Group continues its campaign to support traditional trade and this morning the PSOE councilors, Pedro Lopez and Jose Zapata, accompanied by the members at the Annual Municipal Socialists have known first-hand the problems of traders Barrio del Carmen.

Zapata explains, "the lack of investment in the South is joined by concrete problems such as prostitution in broad daylight, so we urge the PP municipal government to implement concrete measures and progress towards a comprehensive regeneration in the neighborhood that undoubtedly come from the hand of the underground railroad tracks. "

Similarly, the PSOE mayor stressed the need to increase the cleanliness and address the lack of parking in the Barrio del Carmen that makes many stores lose customers.

Socialist councilors remember that "the traditional trade, due to its proximity facilitates consumption for its accessibility, reinvests its profits in the area, generates wealth in the local environment, creates jobs and maintains stable neighborhoods live in cities."

In addition, the PSOE councilors point out that "beyond the financial and general economic situation, the PP in Murcia has developed a series of actions that have severely damaged the traditional trade as is the commitment and exuberance for the supermarkets."

This visit is part of the campaign to support small businesses PSRM called 'traditional trade, because you care' and adds to the round of meetings with trade associations in the municipality that is conducting the Municipal Socialist Group.
