The University of Murcia empowers people with down syndrome (01/03/2013)

The University of Murcia and Down Spain (Spanish Federation of Institutions for Down Syndrome) today signed an agreement for the launch of a pioneering initiative in Spain, consisting of the formation of agents that help people with intellectual disabilities to make independent living.

This specific training aimed at students and professionals, conducted the Center for Disability Studies and Promotion of Personal Autonomy University, whose director and initiator of the agreement, Professor Nuria Illán, said that the project responds to a office of the Federation.
