Urban Quality continues to ensure accessibility and aesthetics of the pedestrian areas (31/01/2013)

The Department of Urban Quality continues to work for the town center more accessible.

The Public Roads Service has made withdrawals of large pots that lined the traffic on the Plaza Santa Catalina.

To prevent vehicles indiscriminately aparquen or engaged in loading and unloading inside the Plaza, have placed removable cast pivots with the shield of the city.

This action gains amplitude and improves the visibility of landmark buildings such as the Museum Ramon Gaya or sculpture of the Immaculate which dominates the square.

It also improves the accessibility of the environment by removing barriers in public.

The pots were transferred to Parks and Gardens Service for later relocation.

Also to improve accessibility, handrails have been placed in the Plaza Europa giving terminating the rehabilitation of this area.

This project involved the renovation of the stairs and on expanding access for the disabled, in addition to replacement by other more efficient lighting
