Local Police and Fire act 50 times on account of the strong wind (24/01/2013)

The Department of Safety foresaw a special last night on the occasion of the strong winds that have allowed it to act quickly and effectively in all events caused by wind gusts this morning.

In total, local police and fire have acted on 50 occasions, of which 19 have been motivated by falling trees or branches, eleven and 20 containers falling roofs, overhangs, posters, billboards and other objects.

Thus the Firefighting Service and Rescue has been reinforced with a Cape, two firefighters, a driver and a lounge operator.

The first warning because of wind occurred at 9.56 hours on the road of Churra.

The actions taken should be noted the following:

- Palm drop about 12 yards down the road of cutting Churra two lanes and traffic cutting forces and the passage of buses.

- Fall of Guadalupe branch on a home causing damage.

-In Cartagena Street follows a showcase and falls into the roadway.

- Drop branch over several vehicles on the street Bishop Sánchez Dávila.

- In El Palmar down a fence and hit a lady.

- In the Gran Via a blind falls on the head of a woman

- The level crossing barriers of Barriomar have detached.

The special service will remain active as long as necessary.
