UPyD Murcia shows his "surprise" but "celebrated" the announcement of a draft to regulate prostitution (22/01/2013)

Ruben Juan Serna also highlights the incongruity of the People's spokesperson, Nuria Fuentes, who just three months ago rejected a magenta training initiative in this regard saying "that an ordinance would not improve the situation"

Union spokesman Progress and Democracy in the city of Murcia, Ruben Juan Serna, shows his "surprise" after the announcement of the government team that is working on a draft ordinance to regulate the practice of prostitution.

To Serna, the statements in this sense of the Security council and Human Resources, Nuria Fuentes, after meeting with the new President of the Board of the District of El Carmen, Saura Michelangelo, "our attention and to some extent we indignant ".

The mayor of the formation magenta recalled that his group had only three months ago the proposed development of a civic ordinance aimed at finding a solution, in which, among other things, the creation of mechanisms to prevent the public spaces exploitation of people through prostitution.

"The very Nuria Fuentes" remarks Serna, "declared that an ordinance would not improve the situation", as stated in the minutes of the plenary session of October City, where the People's Party joined the United Left to vote to reject the proposed initiative from UPyD Murcia.

"Of course we are glad that this meeting takes place and that it is the subject of an ordinance" to try to find a solution, but also "is more than remarkable incongruity" of the position taken earlier this year by Nuria Fuentes.

"Now it seems that, sadly, all I wanted was to star in the popular group them this initiative" but also shows "that somehow we condition municipal politics" and that UPyD vote "is a vote".

In Spain, prostitution and the purchase of sexual services is currently in a state of lawlessness, as it is not legal nor illegal, but merely allowed, "so it is necessary to respond to citizens".

While resolves this lack of a national regulatory framework, Serna said, "we must work towards the Consistory to guarantee the right of children to education without the images of prostitution and sexual exploitation."
