The Socialist Group will promote Coexistence Pact to tackle the problem of noise (16/01/2013)

The PSOE councilor Susana Hernandez notes that the Socialist Group will promote the next Full Council of Murcia a proposal for a pact for Coexistence to reconcile the right to rest of the neighbors and the interests of hoteliers, in response to problems that are being generated in different areas of the city.

Hernandez held yesterday by the Socialist spokesman, Pedro Lopez, a meeting with the Association No More Noises in which neighbors were present from different areas of the city (Pérez Casas, Enrique Villar, Andres Baquero and environment Plaza de las Flores) affected by the noise from the bars and clubs.

The PSOE councilors moved their commitment to continue to insist on raising options aimed at reconciling the tranquility of the neighbors, with the right to leisure and economic activity of the hoteliers.

Strict compliance with ordinances

For Hernandez, the solution to this problem of compatibility between leisure and rest come through strict compliance with the bylaws.

"It can not be that regulations are developed and then take your foot when applying," the PSOE mayor.

Moreover, Hernandez insists is necessary to develop a real plan of action against noise in the town, as did the towns of Madrid and Barcelona.

"It makes sense to prepare a noise map excluding night from bars and clubs at night," the socialist mayor.

Finally, the council suggests that "we must move towards ordinances that discriminate the noise level and times depending on whether they are located in residential areas or not."
