The University of Murcia has signed today with the College of Opticians-Optometrists Region a convention for the promotion of training programs and lines of research related to vision.
The dean of the Faculty-curator of Optics and Optometry, Sobrado Paloma, who is the initiator of the agreement, said at the signing ceremony that the agreement favors the implementation of activities of visual health care, especially in disadvantaged or at risk for vision problems.
The document signed today, he added, provides other means of collaboration such as the organization of dissemination events on issues of vision, the joint use of instrumental means or the experiments by students of the University.
The president of the College, Ana Belén Almaida, explained the value of collaboration, said, promotes the training of optometrists and opticians-the practical exercise of future professionals.
For his part, the president of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, claimed the importance of professional associations and their work.
Among those attending the ceremony, which was held in Convalescence, included the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Relations and Health Sciences, Manuel Vidal.
