The City will reduce 20% energy consumption in Glorieta, the annex and the security center Infante (08/01/2013)

The Department of Environment, through the Local Agency for Energy and Climate Change of Murcia, will implement a plan to reduce energy consumption in the building of the gazebo, building next to City Hall and the Security Center Infante ( Local Police Headquarters, Fire and Civil Protection).

The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has given the green light in recent weeks to the award of the monitoring system for this function, the group SL Electrical Distribution and Analysis, for a total of 49,610 euros, which will be effective until December 2014.

In the framework of the European program SmartSpaces, which belongs Murcia since January this year, will install and launch a monitoring system for energy savings in these buildings, which aims to reduce by at least 20% consumption.

Smartspaces The project, which began in January 2012 and will last 36 months, focuses conducting two pilot tests to monitor and telegestionar energy consumption of buildings.

The challenge is to create an intelligent system that can make use of building energy data and report, both locally and centrally, in a simple and understandable format.

Thus, the implemented system can act on some consumption and measure the temperature of some units and their occupation.

Also be monitored in real time electricity consumption variables of the circuits where they are installed, such as voltage, current, power, energy ...

Also you can set the power failure in air conditioners or detect the presence of users to avoid energy consumption in rooms with intermittent use.

The European consortium that integrates SmartSpaces done intensive work on the optimization of services for all user groups and maximizing the impact on resource consumption habits.

Simultaneously running 11 pilots in over 550 buildings in 8 countries (UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, Bulgaria, Turkey), with nearly 20,000 professionals and users and about 6 million visitors a year .
