About 300 families in the municipality receive subsidy for rental housing (26/12/2012)

Murcia City Council has extended the amount spent on subsidizing rental housing to families in the municipality.

This year, about 300 families have received such aid.

The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has given approval in recent days to increase the amount of aid for the call for proposals to lease.

Expanding the amount is 45,000 euros more, which will mean a total aid of 229,000 euros.

These grants can be requested by individuals (families) and associations engaged in providing housing for people with low incomes.

In 2011, 265 cases were processed, leading to the award of 125 grants.

In 2010, 230 applications were submitted, and 175 in 2009.

The aid is allocated a minimum of 900 euros / year and a maximum of 2,500 euros / year.

It subsidizes up to 75% of the annual rent paid, depending on the income of the applicants.

Victims of domestic violence have additional aid of 500 euros / year.

To qualify for these grants must be registered with the Registrar of Plaintiffs Housing Murcia City Hall (with a minimum of three years of residence in the town), have a lease and be current in payment of all receipts , that housing is the habitual residence and not related to the lessor.

The income must be between 0.5 and 2.5 of IPREM (3727, 57 euros and 18,637.85 euros).

Rental must occupy between 25% and 75% of family income and aid applicants must be current tax obligations with all administrations.

In addition, the home must be in good living conditions.

This aid is incompatible with rental assistance from the Social Welfare Department.

Will be preferred when obtaining these grants, victims of domestic violence, single-parent or single-mother households, families in which all adults are unemployed at the time of application and have children or disabled dependents, Large families, families with disabled members and households that do not exceed the IPREM once.

The City Council allocated 184,000 euros to aid, to which must be added the 45,000 euros that are now included.

The deadline for submission of applications starts with the publication of this notice in the BORM and ends two months afternoons.

In the event that the applicant is a victim of domestic violence may apply for assistance through October 31.

Applications must be submitted in the Housing Service (square Bohemia).
