The House has approved the twinning between the city of Murcia and the Chinese city of Quzhou in order to establish mutual cooperation in trade-related activities, technology and tourism, among others.
Quzhou is part of the Chinese province of Zhejiang.
It is about 250 kilometers (km) of Shangay and about 1,200 km from Beijing.
Quzhou has 2,456,100 inhabitants distributed in about 8.8 km2.
In the municipality of Murcia there are about 4,000 Chinese, and amount to between 9,000 and 10,000 registered in the whole autonomous region
Remember that Murcia will soon be installed in the Confucius Institute that seeks to inform the Chinese language, Mandarin fundamentally and other languages ​​spoken in the country of 1,400 million.
Murcia is twinned Grasse (France) Lecce (Italy), Lotz (Poland), Miami (USA) and Murcia (Philippines)
