The IU-Greens councilor in the city of Murcia, José Ignacio Tornel, today criticized the Government's proposal to grant municipal Gold Medal Club Taurino the municipality.

In his view, the bullfights "are based on the pain and cruelty to the bull, and the contempt for the rights of animals" and "conveys negative values ​​to society, as the unjustified use of violence and animal abuse. "
"Particularly serious is the impact it can have on mental and ethical development of children, despite what the public and private television broadcasting bullfights still at times when children".
