The University of Murcia participate tomorrow, Wednesday, the 12th, in the activity "I know my heritage", which have promoted Murcia Association of Professors of Latin and Greek and the Spanish Society of Classical Studies to raise public awareness about the importance of these subjects in the educational system.
The University will add to the reading of classic texts that take place secondary schools in the region as of 12:00 pm, held on the campus of Mercy classical reading, in which participants will read a text a classical author or a fragment of own production.
In addition, it has programmed a concert choir which will sing the madrigal O socii durate, Adrian Willaert, inspired by the Aeneid I, 198-207, and acting Tragicometa university theater group, representing Latino Greek theater scenes.
Also awarded a prize for best video made at the time of reading among secondary schools.
The initiative arose from Murcia, will be repeated in about two hundred schools in Spain, Germany, Cyprus, Italy, Greece, Sweden, England and USA.
