The illuminated Christmas morning will be lit Friday, December 7, and remain until January 6, 2012.
New this year, will have a system that consists of a series of modules, connected in a festive lighting system, which will, by phone (GSM), program the starting, stopping and know the state, which located installation.
It consists of three modules:
Module arcs (one arc is placed)
GSM Module (placed in the general control and protection)
Master Module (connects to a PC)
Murcia City Council this year has made a great effort to further reduce the energy cost of lighting, hence the system has the LED, enabling maximum savings lighting.
About 50 streets and squares will be illuminated during the Christmas and Reyes, along with churches and associations that will feature stars.
The lighting schedule will be 18 to 22:30 on weekdays and weekends and Epiphany 18 to 00:30 pm, and Christmas Eve and from 18 to 03:00 hours.
The energy consumed is 22.506KWH and installed capacity is 121KW.
