A European project will reduce energy consumption in Glorieta, annex building and the Municipal Security Center Infante (03/12/2012)

The Department of Environment, through the Local Agency for Energy and Climate Change of Murcia, will implement a plan to reduce energy consumption in the building of the gazebo, building next to City Hall and the Security Center Infante ( Local Police Headquarters, Fire and Civil Protection).

In the framework of the European program SmartSpaces, which belongs Murcia since January this year, will install and launch a monitoring system for energy savings in these buildings, which are seeking to reduce by at least 20% consumption.

Since the statement has been approved to purchase the equipment with which you can optimize Alem habits related to energy consumption in these buildings based on the Hall constant measurement and effective control of energy in HVAC systems and lighting buildings.

Smartspaces The project, which began in January 2012 and will last 36 months, focuses conducting two pilot tests to monitor and telegestionar energy consumption of buildings.

The challenge is to create an intelligent system that can make use of building energy data and report, both locally and centrally, in a simple and understandable format.

Thus, the implemented system can act on some consumption and measure the temperature of some units and their occupation.

Also be monitored in real time electricity consumption variables where inastalen circuits such as voltage, current, power, energy ...

Also you can set the power failure in air conditioners or detect the presence of users to avoid energy consumption in rooms with intermittent use.

Coparticipará Murcia City Council in the project valued at 416,379 euros, of which the EU will provide EUR 208,190 Murcia with Grant.

The European consortium that integrates SmartSpaces done intensive work on the optimization of services for all user groups and maximizing the impact on resource consumption habits.
