The IU-Greens councilor in the city of Murcia José Ignacio Tornel said today in plenary municipal budgets for 2013 consistory "do not conform to reality" and will bring more cuts and adjustments to citizenship.

Tornel indicated that budgets, which are approved by a vote in favor of the PP, the abstention of UPyD and rejection of PSOE and IU-Greens, "are based on unstable macroeconomic criteria."

At this point, he recalled that the forecasts of organizations like the Government of Spain and the International Monetary Fund, are negative in terms of GDP growth and employment prospects are not promising.

"These minimum data suggest that 2013 will be a year exposed to any new budget cuts, and a new twist in the road tax and reduced wages, the real goal of labor reform."

The mayor has insisted that the program budget stability "suppresses the limited local autonomy, local authorities attributing the increased demand in the struggle to eliminate the deficit."

"Thus, in 2013 and 2014, the Central Government's objective is that municipalities reach zero percent deficit. Advent is a time of hope, suitable to create in the future with conviction, but what is required is a miracle ".

Tornel has also criticized the PP adjustment measures included in the budget "apply to public services and employees, government employees, self-employed and small and medium businesses."
