The Municipal People and UPyD have filed a joint motion in Parliament in November to reject publicly and emphatically, gender violence, which has been voted for by IU and the PSOE has refrained
This motion is encouraged to "strengthen and continue awareness campaigns and prevention, with special emphasis on the tools that facilitate awareness of the drivers to use violence as a way of solving problems."
It also seeks to "continue and strengthen systems for early detection of situations of domestic violence" and "affect those most vulnerable cases" such as young women, elderly or disabled.
The motion also reflects the intention to "continue working on awareness and training / education of professionals to continue educating on the value of equality and nonviolence"
Finally, both groups have sought to establish their "personal and social commitment in the fight against violence and to build a society in which women and men we develop, will agree to participate and decision making on an equal"
