The Socialist Group presents a set of amendments to create about 1,700 jobs, reduce debt per citizen and make more equitable the effects of the crisis (26/11/2012)

The socialist mayor Juan Patricio Castro today unveiled a package of amendments to the municipal budget for 2013 that aims to reduce the unemployment problem by creating some 1,700 jobs and make more equitable the effects of the crisis.

So, Castro explained that the rationale is that any reduction in current expenditure of the Consistory, as well as loans, and increase investment in order to stimulate local economic activity and can reduce the high unemployment rate that borders on the municipality's 45,000 unemployed.

Spending cuts and loans

Of the nearly 25 million euros that banks expected to ask the council of finance, Isabel Martínez Conesa, the PSOE mayor proposes to make a cut of 8.5 million euros and reduce spending commitment and current transfers in about 23 , 5 million euros on items such as advertising and propaganda, ceremonial attentions, technical assistance, public entertainment, or a reduction of 7.5 million euros of Tribugest to be assumed this function by public officials, among others.

Individual items

Some of the amounts and specific proposals are as follows:

€ 2.7 million for a program of transformation and creation of new jobs in SMEs in the municipality.

It is giving direct aid to entrepreneurs who become a temporary worker engaged in indefinidido new hires or fixed.

Such aid would be 2500 (for workers in general) to 3,000 (for those under 30 years).

1,000,000 euros for the creation of a fund to the transformation of small businesses in the city to make it more competitive.

1,000,000 euros for another fund to the transformation of the small hotel and restaurant business.

2.5000.000 euros to promote road infrastructure in neighborhoods and districts.

2,000,000 euros for intercity transport development of the municipality, and implementation of UNIBON route.

500,000 euros to increase investment allocation provided in the marketplaces of supplies in the town.

500,000 euros for the enhancement of the site of San Esteban.

1,000,000 euros for the enhancement of the Old Jail building a center for the other economy, fair trade and social economy.

284,801 euros for Business Projects Hall Contest 2013.

300,000 euros to launch a Training Workshop for the rehabilitation of the heritage of the Huerta.

100,000 euros to enable a transfer to Salzillo Museum Foundation.

This is a set of amendments that allow to put the scalpel in the budget and spending to promote employment.

In difficult times-ends-Castro can not work out a budget for the sole purpose of squaring income and expenses, you should go the extra mile to achieve ease the problem of unemployment and poor income redistribution.
