The Third Edition of the Concurso de Cante Flamenco "The Birds" 1750 euros in prizes distributed.
This has been revealed its leaders at a press conference held on Tuesday November 13 at the Convalescence Building, which houses the Rectorate of the University of Murcia.
The competition phase will be held on 16, 17, 23, 24 and 30 November, at 23 hours, the official seat of the Ateneo Cultural Huertano Birds, while the final will be held on December 1 at the New Theatre of Guadalupe, which will open with this act.
This third edition incorporates Antonio Fernández "El Torero", as official guitarist.
The activity is organized by the Peña Flamenca "The Birds", and has the support of the Flemish Classroom Murcia University and the city of Murcia.
During the presentation, Guillermo Buendia and Nicolas Torrano Castro, President of the Peña Flamenca and Cultural Association "The Birds" respectively, were in agreement that this is a clear commitment to flamenco in the city of Murcia, and that the level of competition has gone crescendo Sing with the support of the University of Murcia and the City Council.

Meanwhile, Rafael Gomez Carrasco, Councillor of Culture of the City of Murcia, said that "with few exceptions, the city of Murcia is today a little orphan of flamenco, so it is remarkable that the fans have been those who have enabled this initiative ".

Mercedes Farias closed the ceremony Batlle, Vice Chancellor of University Extension and eGovernment Murcia University, welcomed the fact that "thanks to the sum of all energies, depleted by the current situation, we can continue to keep alive the cultural fabric."
