IU-Greens denounced the danger of overpass Pain and calls for action (03/11/2012)

IU-Green has called the City of Murcia today to boost measures to prevent the continuation of risk situations by the lack of shoulders on the overpass bridge known as Morata, which passes over the railroad tracks at the height of the hamlet of Los Dolores.

The council and the coordinator of IU-Greens in Murcia, José Ignacio Tornel and Francisco Muñoz, who visited the flyover last week following complaints from neighbors, could see the danger transit through this place and many passers cross train tracks through the metal fences that are open.

It so happens that Sunday is celebrated near a market, which increases the number of people crossing the road and also close a school that requires the passage through this place.

IU-Greens considered that, given the difficulties in developing the plans for the transformation of the arrival of trains to the city of Murcia, effective action is needed to solve the accessibility problems of the residents of Los Dolores and districts surrounding.

"It's a situation that dragged for years is forgotten, as if the custom avoid the danger and difficulty of transit" stressed Tornel, after stating that "the train must stop pose a nuisance to the public, especially for those who do not have any other alternative benefit thereby, moving to facilitate their right to mobility. "

In this sense, Muñoz said that "it would be desirable to introduce measures such as the extension of the bridge by an annex dedicated to foot traffic or creating a traffic light point on the road, in imitation of existing ones in the city, to regulate the passage of people in a safe. "
