IU-Greens require Murcia City Council to rule on the PITVI (02/11/2012)

IU-Greens ask at the next city council of Murcia that the government team to rule on the Plan for Infrastructure, Transport and Housing (PITVI) from 2014 to 2024 "in all aspects that may affect the municipality."

This Plan, the initial document was approved for discussion in the Council of Ministers on August 3 and was presented on September 26 in Congress in attendance of the Minister of Development, is, in the words of the Minister, the leaf road marking comprehensive policy infrastructure, transportation and housing in the medium and long term.

In theory, as of this presentation is to open a discussion process in which a, trial of IU-Greens, municipalities, through the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) have much to say about issues that impact on urbanism as much on transport.

"Also from the municipalities in particular must make contributions, and in the case of Murcia, is very concerned about the government's willingness to exclude state investment projects pending burial, among which would be the de Murcia".

IU-Greens expresses doubts Development willingness to negotiate on this point, since the presentation of the document to Congress minister said the exclusion of the urban integration of the railway as one of the key points of the plan, before the debt generated wide companies incorporated for this purpose (1000 million today), so they had to be rejected because of its economic infeasibility.

Therefore, at the next Full Council of Murcia, IU-Greens presented a motion to request the opening of a debate with broad participation of both local political groups represented and the various sectors of civil society to enable define the position of our town against this Plan.
