The box number 7 looks Romea Theatre, today, the name of the playwright Julio Navarro (31/10/2012)

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, has discovered this afternoon plate giving the name of the playwright Murcia Julio Navarro Carbonell to box number 7 Romea Theatre.

The event took place minutes before the performance of the work of Zorrilla "Don Juan Tenorio" by the Cultural Association "Cecilio Pineda Theatre Company" that Julio Navarro was a member.

Navarro, born in Murcia in 1933 and died in August last year, maintained throughout his career a close relationship with the Teatro Romea, where for years participated in these representations.

The mayor, Miguel Angel House, said that the intention of the council with this initiative is to pay tribute to "a person who dedicated his life to the theater and had a special bond with the Romea".

The stage dedicated to Julio Navarro is the sixth that honors a figure of the scene in the theater, after Jose Maria Rodero assigned, Montserrat Caballé, Francisco Rabal, Cecilio Pineda and Ginés Torrano.

It is the only witness for the late playwright.

Also, last June I held the Vocational Theatre Festival "Julio Navarro", an opportunity to attend theater company at the Teatro Romea Murcia.

The event is organized every year at the end of the season.
