The Governing Board has given its approval to the cleaning service uncontrolled landfills, with a budget of 27,800 euros, with a term of two years, renewable for another two.
As a rule the work will start within a maximum of four days following receipt of the work order.
The urgent actions by qualified service technicians shall be performed in less than 48 hours after transmission.
Murcia City Council may well continue to perform cleanups uncontrolled landfills (mainly of inert waste) located in the municipality, and any new outbreak of discharge that becomes known to the Environmental Protection Service for subsequent transfer of the them to landfill or licensed treatment plant.
In the cleanup campaign of 2011 was cleared a total of 24 points with a total of 96 trips to the landfill and 1,303 tonnes withdrawn.
Also placed seven posters of 'Forbidden littering' in spots such as points of Sorrows or Azarbe shore.
