Tourism Murcia commitment Tourist Card (30/10/2012)

The Department of Tourism is committed to Murcia Tourist Card card, a tool that allows visitors to benefit from tickets in museums and buildings of interest discount and many leisure facilities, hotels and shops.

The Councillor for Tourism, Miguel Cascales, explained that in August, when launched, was a hundred establishments currently assigned and have joined more than twenty business.

The card is available for 24, 48 or 72 hours, and offer free entrance to museums municipal Murcia, Murcia Casino, Cathedral Museum, Aquarium University and Salzillo Museum.

The price is 24 hour card is 12 euros for adults and 4 euros for children, the 48 hours will cost 18 euros for adults and 6 children, and 72 hours is priced at 21 euros for adults and 8 euros for children.

The card design is modern, innovative and attractive with high quality images, so that visitors can keep the card as a souvenir of their passage through Murcia.

Along with the card, buyers will receive a brochure and discounts specified establishments participating in this program.

This initiative is part of Murcia Tourism Promotion Plan 365 which aims to improve tourism in the city and attract visitors all year round.

More precise data on the Tourist Offices

The Tourism Department will incorporate in the Tourist Offices of Belluga Square and Santa Clara Street a new data collection system that will allow tourists information about visitors to the city.

So far the only known source, while this new system will also provide information on age, occupation, family status and email address.

The goal is to have a database to send information via email and that people who have gone through Murcia learn about new initiatives, proposals and tourist offers that are made in the town, in order to draw your attention to visit Murcia.
