Aljucer neighbors have better health care with the opening of the new health center (29/10/2012)

The investment exceeds 5 million euros, of which 2.8 are for the construction, funded by the Autonomous and 2 million solar, provided by the Council.

The center, which is designed to serve 15,000 people, almost double the current population of the district, is named after Juan Antonio Carrasco, for many years chairman of the Municipal Board.

Aljucer neighbors have at their service a modern health center, which replaces and improves on the previous practice hitherto received care.

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, this morning attended the opening ceremony along with the Ministry of Health and Social Policy, María Ángeles Palacios, the Councillor for Social Welfare and Health, María del Carmen Pelegrin, and the President of the Municipal Board of Aljucer, Blas Lopez Franco.

The work has required an investment of 2.8 million euros.

Including the value of solar-provided by the Council-encryption and nearly 2 million endowment from the center, the total investment of 5 million.

While the hamlet of Aljucer currently has a population of 7,770 people, the health center is designed to serve 15,000 people, more than double the current.

The plot is located between Church Street, High and Garden Path.

The building has an area of ​​3,600 m2 on two floors.

The center is operational with 4 family medicine clinics, 3 nurses, 1 of pediatrics, nursing one child, one of extractions / 1 techniques and cures.

Thus, thanks to the collaboration between the city of Murcia and the Regional Government, the construction of new health center allows Aljucer neighbors see much improved its health network.

In this regard, the Chamber Mayor recalled that this ceremony will bring "a new commitment that we have fulfilled Aljucer and move, making investments that are an improvement in the quality of life of Murcia".
