Seventeen people arrested in a police operation against tax fraud (26/10/2012)

Agents of the Police Headquarters of Murcia belonging to the Provincial Brigade of the Judicial Police have broken up an organized group dedicated to the creation of shell companies, issuance and sale of fake employment contracts and documentation aimed at fraudulently obtaining benefits.

The plot exposed by the researchers, was the creation of companies, once discharged from Social Security staff hired using false documents.

These companies, which lacked any commercial activity, had only intended to attract people willing to pay to be listed as employees high in Social Security.

After a while and once dissolved companies without ever having contributed by false employees, they had the documentation in government agencies to obtain benefits such as unemployment benefit or maternity leave, access to the third grade prison or residence permit for immigrants .

Amounts billed at the false employees ranged from 3,000 euros by the necessary documentation for settlement in our country, or 200 euros per month to generate rights to unemployment benefits.

With all the data collected during the investigation, on October 10 was held in a police operation that led to the arrest of those responsible for the organization, two Spanish citizens of 31 and 33 years old, and fifteen people listed as fake employees.

The detainees are charged with the crimes of fraud, forgery, tax evasion and money laundering.

All were made available to the relevant magistrate in Murcia Guard functions.
