Julian Romea start their tours of the theater in its 150th anniversary (24/10/2012)

The Romea Theatre de Murcia has started this morning its theatrical visits to mark the 150th anniversary of its opening.

This visit, which has been offered to the media is the first of which will run until next Sunday, October 28.

And, Murcia City Council has organized a series of dramatized guided tours that will take place from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 October, three days (Thursday and Friday) to be held at 10, at 11 and 12 hours.

The large influx of applications has led to the city of Murcia to put two more sessions on Saturday and Sunday, at 13 hours.

The actor Antonio Liza, in the role of Julian Romea, will be responsible for guiding visitors through the recesses of the theater, explaining the architecture and history-laden legends and stories of a building, which was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1862.

Hand in hand with this illustrious character, participants will tour various departments of theater: from the façade to the Hall of Mirrors, past the stalls, being able to know, among others, details of the magnificent paintings that adorn the curtain ceiling.

The visits, free of charge, will be held in groups of up to 20 people.

Those interested should register in advance by calling 968 355 390, from 9am to 14 hours.
