A large group made up of students, faculty, and staff belonging to different degrees and departments of the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM), recently held a weekend living in the Cistercian Abbey of Buenafuente emblematic of Sistal located in a privileged Alto Tajo, (Guadalajara).
The members of the expedition, accompanied by the priest and teacher of the UCAM, Jose Sanchez, had the opportunity to live an intense days of cohabitation, prayer, reflection, reading the word, Eucharist, faith experience and encounter with God, in full contact with nature.
Note that the event was sponsored by the Department of Human and Religious Sciences of the Catholic University.
The Vice Chancellor of University Extension, and Director of the International Institute of Charity and Volunteer John Paul II, the UCAM, Antonio Alcaraz, positively highlighted the celebration of this activity, sponsored by the Department of Human and Religious Studies at the Catholic University, and explains "This coexistence weekend for students, faculty and staff of the Catholic, is the kick-off of a full program of activities, national and international open to all members of the university community, which will run along throughout the academic year 2012-2013, with the aim of helping to live intensely an event as momentous as the Year of Faith The program will include among other things the active participation of UCAM in the events to be held on the occasion of the Jubilee Year in Cieza, in the second meeting of Southern Catholic College, to be held in Seville from 16 to 18 November at the Third Meeting of European Catholic University in Rome from April 27 to May 1, and WYD Rio 2013, from 14 to 31 July. "
Remember that the Year of Faith, proclaimed on 11 October by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI in Rome, coinciding with the opening of Vatican II, will end on November 24, 2013, the Solemnity of Christ the King.
