The Liberty Avenue is "sweetened" with 21 sculptures in the form of candy (18/10/2012)

The Liberty Avenue de Murcia "sweeten" their image from today with the arrival of 20 sculptures by the French artist Laurence Jenkell candy reproducing the colors of the flags of various countries.

It is thus an invitation to the viewer to reflect on their origins and tries to make us wake up childhood memories through transformed into candy sugar.

The series of sculptures called 'Sweet', will remain in the city until November 31, and reaches Murcia after passing through Valencia and Cannes, in the hands of the FCG.

The honors French artist these sculptures through the countries of the world and its inhabitants, regardless of their origin, age or creed.

In the wrapped candy form, of 2.75 meters in height, made by using a technique of draping and twisting of plexiglass, finds similarities with chromosomes contained in the cell nucleus DNA.

In 'Sweet', Jenkell shows its strong inspiration in the forms and expressions of Pop Art, New Realism and the School of Nice.

Laurence Jenkell lives and works in Vallauris, on the French Riviera.

He has participated in numerous exhibitions around the world (Paris, Monaco, Geneva, Dubai, London, Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore).

It has permanent exhibitions in Paris, Monaco, Geneva, London, Miami, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul and Dubai.
