Students, teachers and other members of the university community yesterday participated in the planting of 300 trees in the northern Espinardo campus, in an activity that was part of the University Welcome and aims to raise awareness among students about environmental care .
With yesterday planting new woodlands are created on the campus of Espinardo, offsetting CO2 emissions that are generated because of the traffic and forming a natural fencing field opposite the site of festivities.
Participants in the initiative, in which 300 copies were planted oak gall and will be recognized as sponsors http://campussostenible.um.es anywhere where your tree will, location and characteristics, while they will track them on social networks.
Respect the environment will have a prominent place in the new edition of Welcome, whose schedule also includes movies, sports, leisure, travel, exhibitions, conferences and other activities.
