Three medals Murcia in Spain Super Cup Judo Cadet (15/10/2012)

Four athletes from Murcia City Judo Club went to Vigo to participate in the Super Cup of Spain Cadet.

This tournament has the highest rating (Super Cup of Spain) given the number and quality of participants.

This year the competition attracted 303 judokas belonging to selections from Germany, Sweden, Italy, Portugal and Spain was represented by 15 autonomous communities.

Our judokas not daunted at such potential, but on the contrary, have had a performance bordering on outstanding.

Adrian Plaza (-90 kg) is our standard in the category Outstanding Cadet after last season where he finished No. 1 national ranking.

His first opponent was a Spaniard who defeated without much trouble, to face the Swedish representative later.

Despite a hesitant start, the Murcia soon remade and a fantastic ippon in the final standing.

The final against a judoka Castilian lions, expected hard and very tactical.

Adrian committed some mistakes that put his opponent in front and although Murcia made every effort in the comeback, this did not happen and had to settle for second place on the podium.

Cristina Perez (-70 kg) faced in his first fight with the Swedish judoka would later become the champion.

Cristina clearly dominated, until a very good job of the Swedish soil, was dashed the hopes of Murcia.

Cristina stumbles forgot to address this in the playoffs felled leaving the Canary judoka in the first round and in the end, winning the bronze to the Asturian after combat really worked.

This bronze Cristina is very important because it was the only Spanish at a podium cornered by foreign judokas.

Álvaro Sotorres (-73 kg) had an outstanding performance at a weight that still is adapting.

It was a brilliantly winning Andalusian and Extremaduran to Galician.

In semifinal half German representative, who would later become the champion.

Álvaro I try diligently, but the superiority of German beat claw our Murcia.

This semifinal loss, forcing Alvaro to have to win a match more to achieve the deserved Bronze.

A Swede was his last opponent.

The Swede with far larger than Álvaro attempt to impose such a benefit, but Alvaro always anticipated and fruit of this work could be imposed and the neck hung a very creditable bronze medal.

Cabero Lucia (-63 kg) ended in a very good 5th place.

In his first two bouts surprised with an aggressive and effective judo Galician in the first round and later the Portuguese representative.

In losing semifinal against Valencia and then in the race for the bronze, leaving Swedish Lucia won the bronze doors.

Importantly, the Judo Club Ciudad de Murcia with only 4 representatives, has been at the Region of Murcia in the 13th place in the team standings, ahead of 6 Federations with many more representatives.
