A book by professors at the University of Murcia addresses the rights of victims in Spain (11/10/2012)

"The rights of victims in Spain" is the title of the book presented today at the University of Murcia and in which a group of young teachers, mainly from this institution, the figure approaches the victim from different viewpoints.

The book, sponsored by the Foundation of Victimology through editorial Victimales Studies, is led by professors from the Department of Foundations of Legal and Constitutional Order Fernando Garcia Navarro and Francisco Costa, who said that the reader "can find an understanding global and totalizing of the victim in the Spanish legal system. "

"Precisely for this reason, we have included several complementary formal objects of study that have traditionally stayed away from the issue of victimhood" stated Garcia Costa.

The work brings together a cast of novice teachers and researchers specialized in different scientific disciplines from the Sociology and Social Policy to Criminal Law and Criminology, through philosophy, public international law, constitutional law, labor law or Tax Law.

Professor Fernando Navarro has defined the work as a way to "start to victims of obscurity", while the president of the Foundation, Emilio José García Mercader, said that the book contains new levels of victimization emerging in Spain. "

The presentation, held in the building of convalescence, was led by the rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, you mentioned the initiatives developed with the Foundation-practices of students, congresses, conferences, book publishing - after the 2008 signing of the collaboration agreement.
