The UCAM analyzes the new challenges of bioethics (06/10/2012)

The San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) has closed this afternoon the V Conference on Bioethics, who during his last days have focused, among other things, on 'New Challenges of Bioethics'.

The rector of the UCAM, Josefina Garcia Lozano, has been responsible for closing the symposium together with the director of the Master in Bioethics, who has read the conclusions of the various papers that have provided important matter related professionals during the two days the conference lasted.

The rector of the UCAM, Josefina Garcia Lozano, said that "this conference is indicative of the fidelity of the Catholic University San Antonio Christian humanism and its fundamental principle, which is respect for human life that have addressed these days ".

For his part, the director of the Master, Micaela Menárguez, stressed that the title of this conference: 'Nature, People, and Science', refers the matter to the person and his dignity, and science, which must always be at the service of man, and not the other way '.

Panels of experts

During this final day took place several expert panels related to the new challenges and Bioethics with Bioethics and society.

Among the experts who participated should be noted, by the UCAM, doctors Juan Antonio Marin and Maria Carmen Ballester.

Likewise, also involved, among others, the doctor in Biological Sciences from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Eduardo Corredor, Doctor in Bioethics and Law at the University of La Rioja, Roberto Germán Zurriaraín, and Doctor of Medicine and Surgery of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Santa Pau, José M ª Guardiola.
