IU-Greens will ask the City Council setting out the plan changes for the burial of the roads in El Carmen (25/09/2012)

Murcia IU-Greens today announced that in the next plenary session will present a motion to ask the government team to "expose and argue" the changes incorporated in the Special Plan for the burial of the railway station in Murcia, El Carmen .

The initiative for the formation of the left, presented by Councilman José Ignacio Tornel, also urges the consistory to defend before the Ministry of Public commitment by the burial of the tracks for the arrival of the high speed from the first phase of the new project action.

Tornel explained that in 2010 the City Council approved the aforementioned Special Plan to prepare the arrival of the AVE line to Murcia and that since then, there have been "several adversities" that have caused delays on schedule, as the economic situation by the crisis.

"Both in April 2011 and July 2012, representatives of the Ministry have expressed their decision to reconsider the initial project, both on time and in the proceedings for the redevelopment of the area or infrastructure, resulting in the issue of burying the most damaged by changes in the Plan. "

The mayor pointed out that the City is part of the company Murcia high speed, which makes him "knowledgeable and steward of many variations has suffered and may suffer the final draft design of the present station on arrival of the AVE."

However, he noted that the government team "has not released a determined approach by seeking alternatives to clarify the new design that the economic circumstances of the country, and in particular regional, imposed on this project."
