Over 2880 activities are part of the educational offerings of the City Council bid for the course 2012/2013 (17/09/2012)

Murcia City Council provides, through its educational, more than 2880 activities to around 70,100 schoolchildren to participate during the academic year 2012/2013.

Education Councilwoman Maria Dolores Sanchez, explained that it is offering to schools, from kindergarten to high school, complementary activities to the content, using the city as a teaching resource.

In these activities, workshops and visits involving both institutions and public and private groups.

For the current 2012/2013 are provided 75 different proposals, of which 48% are organized by the Department of Education and 52% are partnerships with public and private entities.

The City guarantees the award of at least one activity per school unit.

During the past year participated in these activities 63,580 students, 94% of the municipality's total students, 184 schools, 99% of colleges and secondary schools in the municipality, accompanied by 2,720 teachers.

The educational offer is available to the entire school community on the web www.murciaeducadora.net.

Schools must apply to participate in activities through the web or through the intranet sites.

The price for this course is divided into three programs:

- Know your city

- Nature and Environment.

With seven different activities for Kindergarten, Primary, Middle and High School.

- Expression and communication.

Seven music-related activities and artistic languages ​​for Infant and Primary, which are represented in the Municipal Auditorium and the Theatre Conservatory of Dance.

- Science in Murcia.

Things to arouse curiosity and interest in science by conducting simple science experiments that are made in both the Science Museum and the Water and in the schools themselves.

- History and Art.

Using the museum as a resource (Salzillo, Archaeological, Ethnological, Fine Arts, etc.) is enhanced in students' attitudes and heritage valuation.

- Consumption.

- Road safety education and safety.
