The Socialist Party claims that the 'rate hikes' is choking families (14/09/2012)

The Municipal Socialist Group spokesman, Pedro Lopez, has reported today in a press conference that "the rate hikes is choking Murcia families since the price of 2.15 euros on airline districts lines are still unaffordable for many users public transport and we fear that the start of the academic year can be dramatic if not reached a solution to the conflict ".

"A cuts and tax increases that have already greatly weakened its economy, are now finding unbearable expense for many families, so we know cases of people who walk for miles every day because they can not deal with that expense, of people who have decided to carpool or some cases of people making hitchhiked to come from the villages to the city, "said Pedro Lopez.

"A family with two children who go to school or to school by bus are paying at least 8.60 euros each day, counting only have to make a round trip and one back. Situation is unaffordable, families can not pay more, "the PSOE councilor.

Socialist spokesman points out that this situation is discriminatory also unfair to the residents who live in districts and requires House to find a solution because they are residents of Murcia who are paying dearly for the lack of agreement between administrations and business.

"There has to be a ticket with a single price for the whole municipality," insists the socialist mayor.

Campaign to collect signatures

In this situation, Pedro López has announced that the PSOE will launch a campaign to collect signatures as leverage to demand the end of rate hikes, the return of savings bonds and college and refuse raised by deleting lines from the region.

Moreover, the Socialist spokesman warns that if there is a solution to this conflict, the PSOE called on citizens to take to the streets.
